I vote for TPF on a Win 3.11 box. :)


It is all opinion, whatever you are most comfortable with, and has all the
optional/features that you desire. Then that is the one you go with. And
whatever anyone else has to say or think DMS!!!

After reading all the responses it is still not completely clear to me.  I
have gathered that OpenBSD would be more secure than Linux, and Cisco
appears to be an industry leader.

However, with all things being equal (i.e. experience level of security
administrator, proper configuration, etc.) which firewall would be "most"
secure and reliable?

A) OpenBSD      (non-ASIC)
B) Cisco        (ASIC)

Next, taking into consideration VPN needs on each system, which would be
considered "most" secure and reliable?
