Did someone mention Koala here before?
Koala can be found at www.koalagraphics.com. Although, I think
the project is dead in favour of SVG.

Also, the W3C has SVG which is an object markup language.
It looks kind of ugly, but I believe you can have it
include external icons, which may make it look nicer. There are also
conversion skripts available I think. Anyway, have a look
at www.w3c.org/SVG. If you can represent it in ASN.1, you
can represent it in some spliney, membranous-looking
visualization.

I haven't experimented with it so YYMV.
