Thank you. I already installed nmap 4.76. Will check it.

I wanted to ask about the algorithm/how switch/router/firewall  is detected
in zenmap topology. Is it via the OS fingerprinting that nmap does or other
way?

This should be fixed in the latest version. Now the inputs for those
timing options are text fields, not number spinners.
