As a side note that many may be aware of, there are other Cisco products/code bases that have these nice features.

The design differences you describe there relate more to traditional IOS vsJUNOS, rather than IOS XR vs JUNOS. IOS XR uses candidate configurations, commit, rollback etc.Paul.
