Camera use on most campuses is for PR and surveillance.
Most are for PR viewing, new construction, etc., other cameras for are
for safety and security.  The reason for this can be theft or
students/parents concerned about security in parking or common areas.

This does not constitute a big brother attitude but a desire for safety
and security for our students, faculty, and staff.

Protecting residents?
Think of how many times a camera recording has solved a crime or
possibly prevented one.
