I believe that in the overall usage of the products and security issues
compromised buy the use of SUS.
The price of LANguard is really quite small in comparison to giving
users local admin rights and the risks that that can cause.

I believe costing is an issue when comes to LANGuard.
SUS is free and it still able to deliver what is required here.
But, not in the aspect of reporting when compared to LANGuard.

My suggestion to you is loose the SUS, go to an application like
LANguard
this is very convenient for patch analysis and distribution, among many
other options without the user intervention.

We have a SUS server in place and it is distributing updates just fine.
My question has to do with the installation of these updates.

Most of my users are local admins (I know I do not need the lecture on
how
bad that is). To top it off while the updates get downloaded to their
computers, they are not responding to the prompts to install the
updates.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the updates installed.
Removing
the local admin rights is not an option right now.
