Some (few) debit cards do, and they are explicitly mentioned in the
paperwork that comes with them.  If it is not explicitly mentioned, it
ain't!

In most cases, the bank (or card issuer) gives you a reasonable delay,
to check your past transactions (one month or so). If there is a fraud,

In the US, credit card users are not responsible for charges above $50 that
they did not make.  Important point to remember is that debit cards do not
have this protection, these are the cards that US banks issue that double
as ATM cards and VISA credit cards that deduct directly out of a personal
checking account.
