Look up ADS on the microsoft support web site - it's an Alternative Data
Stream.

I don't remember if there is an archive for the 'forensics' listserv at
securityfocus, but if there is, search also there on the following subject
headers:

        Testing freeware ADS detection programs

        Executing data (binaries) in ADSs

        hiding data on NTFS drives

The author of the articles in question is keydet89 () yahoo com, if that
helps your search.

Subject: How to hide a file ?

Hi all,

I was wondering if there's a way to hide a file under windows 2000
server,
so that it will not be seen when using "show hidden file", "show all
files" and so on.
I want to hide a file but I want to be able to run the file only when I
know exactly where it is
and what is the file name.

Do you guys have any Idea ?
