I tested this weird ls on my boxes (openbsd, linux, freebsd and
netbsd) all of them was tested locally, I think there's no need for a
dmesg because each core team will test it, the results are:

*** OpenBSD 2.7 ***

(with softupdates)

tifo# ../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*/../*

The hard disk begin to do a evil noise and nothing happened untill I
control-c the ls after 4 hours (486)

I tested this with OpenBSD 2.8 (softupdates enabled) on amd athlon 750mhz,
and when i run ls ../*/../(...), nothing happened too... even evil noise
from my hard disk ;)
