This reminded me of something similar that didn't get much play at all when it was published.

A "Mac Attack" synflood - MacOS 8.x is purportedly vulnerable.  Details at

More  then  a  year  ago,  testing remote Mac server i found it can be
crashed  with  OOB  data.  I  don't  remember any details about server
(neither  OS  version  nor HTTP server version) since i'm not familiar
with  Macs.  Server  (application,  not  system itself) crashes on the
connection  attempt  after  any  OOB  data  received  through  another
connection.
