Remote capture capabilities

Hi all

is there any plans to have remote capture capabilities included in libpcap?
I need such a feature in order to simultaneous capture traffic in different point of the network, and, the only way i 
found out, is to have to different tcpdump running on different unix machines and do post analisys of saved captured 
traffic.

I think it would be very valuable a feature that enables a sniffer (tcpdump :>) to collect traffic from sniffers 
located in different point of the network.
