snort inline

hi.
1-when i use snort as IPs in inline mode with afpacket whether change in iptables is requierd?
2-when i use snort in inline mode with nfq or ipq whether the snort host must be in bridge mode or act as a router(ip 
forwarding enabled)unlike afpacket?whether change in iptables is requierd?
3-what is the relationship  between snort in inline mode and iptables firewall?
