I was looking for documentation on a set of patches I usually apply to 
barnyard ( to submit to freebsd ports maintainers so I don't have to do 
it all the time myself) and found that the source of the patches is 
offline (mostly)

anyone have contact info?  I can offer hosting for the patches, they are 
important.

sometimes mysql 'times out' and barnyard goes away:

FATAL ERROR: Error (MySQL server has gone away) executing query: SELECT sig_id FROM signature WHERE sig_name='ET POLICY 
Protocol 41 IPv6 encapsulation potential 6in4 IPv6 tunnel active' AND sig_rev=0 AND sig_sid=2012141

The patches also cache certain variables, as well as adding in a couple 
nice structures to make sure daabase is consistent.
(this is barnyard2, with old unified logs, not unified2)
