Redundant alerts in ACID

Hi All,

My ACID is showing some alerts 5-10 times redundantly
with same time stamp. Due to this acid screen is
piling up with redundant alerts. What should i do to
eliminate this?

One more thing, can i use two database output plug-ins
to the same database, Since i want portscan alerts
also to show on acid screen.

output database: log, mysql user=snort pass=snort
host=XXXXX port=3306 
output database: alert, mysql user=snort pass=snort
host=XXXXX port=3306 

can i use above configuration?
