well what makes it tough for something like that is that you actually need
ACID to be open @ all times when the dumps come in and the page is refresh
(its the only time data is dumped AFAIK).

plus you do not need ACID if you want these alerts, you could simply query
your snort.event table x seconds to get them (a timestamp is included in the
table).

it would be nice however if there was a react: email type of keyword but i
dont see snort as an email system :-)
