Did you make sure you have all the necessary packages installed? I think
that the problem is you don't have the mysql extensions to php installed.
A rpm -qa|grep php says:
php-4.0.6-7
php-mysql-4.0.6-7
However, I'm not using those packages because I downloaded & compiled
mysql, php, apache and the necessary stuff to make acid work, so I'm not
sure if it would work with the default installation, or if i would get the
same errors than you.
