U could use swatch to define patterns of interest to u and configure swatch
to monitor the alert log, when an event of interest happen swatch can mail
u.

Im Using snort in Red Hat 7.2. How do i access or show the alert system 
when there is network attack especially for the packets? Does Snort IDS
