snapshot rule files.

HI All, What is the difference between snortrules.tar.gz and snortrules-current.tar.gz ? I use a script to retreive the snortrules.tar.gz file each day, currently the script first retrieves the md5 file checks it against the md5 of the last file retrieved and proceeds accordingly. It would be nice if we could use the timestamps on the files to determine if the the rule files have been altered. Would it be feasible to only rebuild the tarball if the cvs stuff has actually changed? -- Russell Fulton, Computer and Network Security Officer The University of Auckland, New Zealand _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
