How about getting one of the Nokia N devices? You can find the 770 on ebay for about $120; then just run kismet, metasploit or whatever you need!
It doesn't include a phone, but it is small enough that you can get a small phone with bluetooth and it'll work anywhere. Plus then with a "normal" phone you'll get 2-3 days battery for your phone and much better reception (non-pda cell phones do get better battery life & signal strength, not to mention stability, my 3125 only turns off every 6-8 weeks!
But honestly the 770 is a great little device (get the 'testing' upgraded firmware, much better to work with), or if you want a keyboard the latest & greatest the N810 (479 though). It runs debian and has a good start of apt'able applications (or compile whatever you need, lots of documentation out there for it)..

I've got a HP ipaq "travel companion"...has the built in GPS...it is unable to run ministumbler, however wififofum works well. To be honest with you, I am not that impressed with this unit and would not highly recommend it. I want to buy a PDA that can also be used as a phone, has builtin802.11 b/g wifi, and, importantly, has no problems running mini-stumbler. If the device also had a built in 1 or 2 megapixel camera, even better. The HP iPAQ 510 looks like it has the specs, but I can't find anyone anywhere using this particular model with mini-stumbler. Almost all ofthe Google searches I ran on mini-stumbler and iPAQs came up with older posts, i.e. 2-5 years ago. (the operating system on the iPAQ 510is Windows Mobile 6.0)I'm not set on an iPAQ, but am more interested in getting a current PDA model that someone is already running (with the above specs) and is enthusiastically happy with what they've got.Hi Paul,I've not had any luck with ministumbler on WM6. I tried ministumber on my Windows Mobile 6-based AT&T Tilt (aka 8925 aka HTC TyTN II). "Not a valid PocketPC application" was the error. This got me reading the ministumbler release notes and noticing the lastrelease was in 2004, and it was probably hopeless. :-)However, on this HTC phone that includes an 802.11 radio and GPS... these toys seem to work very nicely together with WiFiFoFum2 to make a self contained war walking/driving tool that will log GPS locations ofaccesspoints if that adds any value for you:http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/ I've not done a ton with this phone in this respect, however, and would be interested in what folks have had good luck with in terms of wireless tools for WM6. Something with a bit more functionality forpentesting would be nice to have in a pocketable device.------------------------------------------------------------------------ This list is sponsored by: Cenzic Need to secure your web apps NOW?
