I have been using PairNIC since abandoning GoDaddy because of SOPA and the
owner just generally being a disgusting human being. The advantage I
really liked about PairNIC is free private registration.

I second the gandi.net recommendation. I left godaddy a while back and
have been happy with them.

I like gandi.net for domain registration, mostly because they allow
full bind zone file access if you let them host DNS for you.

I have no opinion on trademark registration.

Hi,

For a while, there was a backlash against GoDaddy due to SOPA support.
What's the conventional wisdom now towards easy & cheap domain
registration?

Also, I want to register a trademark for a tagline. If anyone has any
tips
on that, please share!

Thanks,
Mike
