Domain Registration and Trademark

Hi,

For a while, there was a backlash against GoDaddy due to SOPA support.
 What's the conventional wisdom now towards easy & cheap domain
registration?

Also, I want to register a trademark for a tagline.  If anyone has any tips
on that, please share!
