Sven,

Take the SANS boot camp that they offer. If you are on a tight budget SANS offers a volunteer program at their
conferences that you might check into. I've done it twice - it is a lot of work, but loads of fun.

Agreed.  SANS Security Essentials was my 'alternative to CISSP.'  It covers similar domains, packs a veritable

thanks

Is this book and labs enough to prepare for the exam?

GSEC GIAC Security Essential Certification Exam Preparation Course in
a Book for Passing the GSEC Certified Exam - The How To Pass on Your
First Try Certification Study Guide - Second Edition
ISBN-10: 1742444350
ISBN-13: 978-1742444352

The exam costs $899, what is very much for my small budget. Don't wish
to fail that! How did you study for this exam?
cheers Sven
