mac vs pc (non-fanboy answers)

One mention indicated the performance isn't good in a VM. I concur. You're better off loading Snow Leopard vanilla via 
usb key/dvd natively and using VM's for WinXP and Linux. This is my setup on a Dell Inspiron 1318 (2Ghz dual core).
