We are using it in a limited way (for single checks against a large network) with the http://www.alienvault.com/nessus_feed_faq.php Mike Patterson wrote:

Just curious to know how well it's working, how well the project is keeping up with vulnerability checks, etc. Any feedback would be great. This isn't likely terribly useful, but I did try it out in February or so, and wasn't terribly happy. Making it go on the boxes I had made available to me (RHEL 5.1) was more than just ./configure && make install. We can afford the $1200 or so if need be, so we're sticking with Nessus for now, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on OpenVAS too. Mike
