It's been almost a year since the last stable release (5.21 was

Since Nmap introduced NSE there seems to be a far greater need/desire
for new releases.

Would it be worth considering a more regular and frequent build cycle?

I wouldn't call the 4 months and 3 days since the last dev release
"almost half a year", but I definitely agree that we're overdue for a
new release. Especially considering all the great stuff we've put in
lately! Upgrading to the MS VC++ 2010 build system is an important
part of the new release process, so thanks for your help there! We
should be able to get at least one more dev release out this year, and
a stable release early next year.

Cheers,
