The GUI project that I proposed had database integration as one of the
core components. Although I was looking at it more from integration
with a full database server sqlite support would not be difficult.

I had the thought of trying to add ldap integration to it. I think
having the GUI be more knowledgeable about network hosts through ldap
queries would be useful when generating reports.
