A lot more than just rsync is necessary in order to allow rsync transactions to work.  But, you know this already.

A lot more than just BitTorrent is necessary in order to allow BitTorrent transactions to work.  But, you know this

A lot more than just DNS is necessary in order to allow DNS transactions to work - in this context, I'm specifically 
referring to routing.
