 usually this means the remote process has crashed, often due to memory corruption or the parent process being killed .

in my fresh install of XP SP3 (es_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_vl_x14-74009.iso and vmware 
7.0.0-203739) sometimes the exploit fail. Of 10 test 8 exploit sucefull.
