unable gui in vncinject

Running vncinject does not bring up gui on attacker.

This is what I see:

[*] Started reverse handler on port 4444
[*] Starting the payload handler...
[*] Sending stage (197120 bytes)
[*] Starting local TCP relay on 127.0.0.1:5900...
[*] Local TCP relay started.
[*] VNC Server session 1 opened (192.168.1.102:4444 -> 192.168.1.100:1575)

But no GUI!

Just blank screen after that.

A process list on the victim does indeed show the process running properly.

What am I missing here?
