Im having a few probs with VNC payloads..... I set LHOST & RHOST and use the default options (AUTOVNC=1) however the vnc viewer never launches. Then i get a "Metasploit courtesy shell(TM)" on the exploited Win2k SP3 machine??
The courtesy shell is displayed inside of VNC itself, so the viewer must be getting launched, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it the command prompt window. Why do you think vncviewer is not getting launched?
Do the VNC payloads work running from a linux machine??
Yes, they do.
