msfupdate failure

Strange.  The "VNC" file does not exist, however there are a couple files 
which contain a space, and the first word of the file name is "VNC". 
Could you provide some information about your system, specifically:

- The operating system and kernel revision
- The version of Perl (perl -V)
- The value of the "LANG" environment variable.

As a quick fix, try setting the LANG environment variable to "C" before 
running msfupdate. There seem to be a few issues caused by a UTF LANG 
value and newer versions of perl.
