Hey Dave,

I mentioned the Bloomberg article on Friday (How is Toyota Like Citigroup & Goldman Sachs?
http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2010/02/how-is-toyota-like-banks-investment-houses/)

The great irony is that all o these companies went to Washington DC to get special favors -- got them --
and then proceeded to impale themselves upon the bounty their lobbying efforts produced.

It says something about how corrupted the political and regulatory process has become . . .

Dave -
I am glad that Bloomberg finally picked up the revolving door issue. The
case is a damning example of egregious complicity by our federal safety
agency between 2004 and 2007.

ABC's investigation came out last week so Bloomberg is behind the times; the
information on the revolving door finally came to light because of
depositions in a lawsuit from a truly horrific crash. Here are two from ABC

-toyota-representative/story?id=9747342&page=1

Until ABC exposed this, literally no mainstream media would give any time to
this. Here is a mid-January article from a safety group, debunking the floor
mat and gas pedal claims

se/

And this article was in a Kansas City paper on a whistleblower regarding the
issue - also weeks ago

ation-recall-anonymous-whistle-blower-ids-cracked-throttle-bodies.aspx?googl

And of course there is the NY Times article on Steve Wozniak's Prius that
followed this article in AutoBlog

ware-related-sudd/
