ACLU involvement would be nice, but what about individuals?

I live in the Washington DC area.  Yesterday, as soon as I got the  
WMATA (DC Metro) press release on the inspections, I GOT ON THE PHONE  
and called the Metro Transit Police chief's office to protest this  
program.  Chief Michael Taborn was in a meeting; I spoke to Deputy  
Chief Jeff Delinski. The number's 202-962-2150.

Others should call too.  Tell them you view this type of protection as  
security hype that will be useless in protecting the transportation  
system, that will only cause delays and alienate the public.  Let's  
not take this silliness passively.
