Subject: Google as Stasi resource

The NYT and others have editiorialized that the Google subpoena is about the Govt. trying to pump life into their anti-porn legislation.

They may be wrong. From here, it looks like the Bush admin. is envious of the Chinese regime's success in turning the web into an arm of their police state.

They are floating this strip search of Google as a first step towards making all databases government property.
