Subject: EFF joint comments opposing RFID passports

Dave,

EFF, joined by EPIC, PrivacyActivism, Privacy Rights Clearinghouse,
World Privacy Forum and Bill Scannell filed comments yesterday
opposing and criticizing the RFID passport plan.

Our submission to the State Department includes a recent preprint on
passport privacy and security issues by Ari Juels of RSA and David
Molnar and David Wagner of UC-Berkeley (that is, the PDF on the EFF
site contains the Juels-Molnar-Wagner paper as an attachment),
submitted to IEEE SecureComm http://www.securecomm.org/

The JMW paper is also available by itself at http://eprint.iacr.org/2005/095

Thanks,
Lee
