From an IPer
The story gets even worse. It now costs $5 each to get removed from snail mail lists, phone solicitations lists, and e-mailing lists. And worse yet, the security certificate for the DMA site expired on January 25, 2002, so it's rather risky to use your credit card to pay for the DMA opt-out service. I hope someone is REALLY embarrassed by this.
and again from the same one "Correction. It doesn't cost anything to get removed from mass e-mailing lists." [ But it does from EACH of the others doing it online djf] For archives see: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
