IP-FLASH Verizon following Qwest's privacy debacle?

Yes indeed Verizon is following in the steps of Quest . I just phoned in my opt out (I OBJECT TO HAVING TO OPT OUT RATHER THAN OPT IN) and they said it would take 30 days to be effective.
Does Verizon guarantee they will not sell my data while their slow process take place!!!
Time to contact your PUC and lodge strong protests if you believe this is wrong.
