Dave,

I thought you might be interested in the following from a Canadian and
former classmate of mine.  Follow-ups to this included the report of
another Canadian with a virtually identical reaction.

Speaking of TV, the big buzz up here on morning news this morning is
Dubbya's (or his speech-writers') latest gaffe, after "crusade" -
Canada was not even mentioned in last night's address.

The thinking here is, either a deliberate snub - because of Canada's
"lax immigration policies" (like the INS ain't culpable for letting
these guys into the US) OR - w/ "spoils" system a Texan (speechwriter)
doesn't know much about the Northern border and "terra incognita"
beyond....

On the other hand, as good obedient Canadians, our Media folks are also
saying that "maybe we (Canadians) are just too sensitive about being
habitually ignored"

Interesting to note that a Canadian will sing "God Bless America" this
evening at AmericaThon.
