Getting crorwed out there. CMU is planning an outpost at Moffet Field djf

The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business next
year will open a campus in San Francisco to allow business
students to observe industries in the heart of the high-tech
economy. Wharton West will provide an executive MBA program and
will give students in Philadelphia an opportunity to spend a
semester in Silicon Valley. The new campus will be linked
electronically to the traditional campus. Many Wharton students
head West after graduation, says the school's dean, Patrick
Harker, who estimates that 30 percent of last year's MBA class
went West. The West is an interesting example of economics for
students to study, says Harker. "The Western region as a whole
has a remarkable ability to reinvent itself," says Harker. "It's
an incredibly entrepreneurial, energetic, and adaptive
environment."
