I agree.  Win32-Honeyd badly needs an upgrade, but I know Michael is way
to busy to update it these days.

But for many, who simply cannot (or do not want to) learn Linux/Unix, it
is an alternative.

Still, today, learning GNU/Linux or BSD is such a positive benefit for a
million other reasons, including Honeyd, that it should be considered by
anyone looking to get more involved with honeypots or security.  

I've been encouraging the pure Windows folks to check out one of the
other, easier to setup Window honeypots (e.g. Kfsensor, Patriotbox,
Spector), for the last few months.

To the get most of Honeyd, you really need to run it on a Unix system.
There have been several critical improvements that are not reflected in
