just wondering what people using honeypots as spam traps do with theircollected info. There doesnt seem much point reporting spam to the place it comes from as more often than not, their isps are ones, listed in spamhaus.org SBL, that seem to be ignoringthe problem. I wonder if there's any use in making reports and sending them to thedestination ISPS. I'm using KFSensor as a spam trap, I'm in the process of writing somescripts to do something useful with the log files.
Well, do I have a treat for you!The following link details using OpenBSD and PF along with spamd so that the spammers wind up wasting resources. No point reporting them most of the time, but if you make it more expensive and inefficient to spam you, I'm sure that would help: http://www.benzedrine.cx/relaydb.html
Really good stuff. Regards, Byron Sonne -- For Good, return Good. For Evil, return Justice.
