Interesting thread... I come from everything with a research
perspective.. and I'm wondering
 
A) how is this different from sharing Shadow or IDABench traffic with
fellow researchers 

B) Why not just obfuscate ip addresses? Do you guys think snagging IRC
traffic is violating the third parties privacy, based on irc server
and internet nick?
