This is a PR stunt, and I would suggest people treat it as such.

In addition to angel investments in security companies (and a few non-security
ones as well, such as a fetal heart monitor), Mr. McAfee has a large number of
media projects under development, including a biography being written by George
'Boston' Jung , a graphic novel about his time in Belize being done by Chad
Essley, a movie and a TV show from Impact Future Media (the latter has already
been picked up by Spike TV, a US basic cable TV channel) and a voice-only role
in a SF movie.

No doubt when these various projects arrive in 2016, they will receive far more
media attention than they otherwise would due to Mr. McAfee's "candidacy."
