Subject: [funsec] Intel gets into AV?

Intel's been in AV for quite a while. For many years they sold a version of Trend
with a LAN management wrapper.

This cant turn out well IMO

On first reading, I'd agree. Sounds an awful lot like WD's Immunizer, in many
respects.

(I did a report for Intel at one time, and noted that, while many of their lower
level [that is, actually working] people had some clues, senior management were
extremely effective at sabotaging the products, and making political decisions that
ensured they remained second rate.)
