Well, are there any laws that you approve of?

Most laws do not eliminate the behavior they seek to discourage.
Instead, they attach costs to them.  Laws against burglary do not
eliminate burglars. Instead they discourage them by attaching jail
sentences to the act, and creating law enforcement agencies to track
down and incarcerate offenders.

Again, there are cost / benefit descisions that need to be made.  Are
the costs of burglary prevention programs worthwhile compared to the
amount of burglary they prevent?  I don't know the answer to that.
