Good Afternoon, NF> Pierre is far too modest to say this, but IDA is, first and foremost, NF> _THE_ kick-ass disassembler. It has all but demolished the disasm NF> market due to its feature set and execllent implementation. Thanks for your kind words Nick - one very important factor of the equation was our user base and how they exploited what the program offered: one can hardly imagine a more competent IT crowd than them. NF> The debugging functionality has only been added relatively recently and NF> although useful, is mainly not why hardcore reverse engineers use it. The difference disassembler - application debugger - system debugger is often lost on the non specialist. I'd never blame a system debugger for bringing a system down from time to time: life's so hard at that level. -- Best regards, Pierre mailto:pierre () datarescue com _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
