Wait... the reason we're here isn't for bitching and complaining?
Damn... i thought this was the work stress release mailing list where
we all got to just bitch and moan. Man i better unsubscribe before i
see something useful on the list and possibly learn something new
that's going on out there beyond my 2 foot wide cubicle.

People who sign up for mailing lists and then complain about getting
spam'd don't know the definition of spam. Quit complaining and learn
to eat what you put on your plate.

For Christ's sake!
Be grateful that the list still exists, so you have to change a couple
of settings, at least FD gets to carry on.
If you're going to waste time on here bitching and complaining about
the list, also if this is a "pissant list" as you so put it, why are
you wasting your time on here?
C'mon, we're all on here for a reason, and bitching and complaining
isn't it.
Pete, it's really not worth it, change the settings, and live with it,
and let's keep the crap off this list.

I shouldn't have to "fix" my settings for the damn list! I didn't break
them! The list should have a competent admin who does not subscribe
me to full mode when I asked for digest only! It's not only the
unauthorised junk in my inbox that is unacceptable, it's the
expectation
that I should waste my time changing passwords, settings etc. for one
pissant list, else get spammed.

Nor to read the whole annoucement Administrivia about the change in
hosting sites and how to change your passwd and how to fix you

I tend to agree though. I used to get just digest now I'm getting
inundated and with this mail am doing the same to others no doubt.
After
recently getting chewed out for accidentally auto-responding to the
debian
security announce list, I tend to agree that it shouldn't be that
hard to
get things like this right.

The bad point indeed is that I lost the digest mode and get all

I wonder who changes this guys nappies still??
