list. I was going to bring up the exact same things. Now on to good
'ole Nick...

Since when do you speak for everyone else on this list? I've actually
received a handful of very positive emails from people I first started
communicating to through this list. Additionally, I've received just
as many "You should just ignore him, I do" or "It's not worth trying
to explain respect to him" comments about your "dribble" on this list
(among others). Though you may not realize it, we've talked before. In
fact, it seems you've changed very little since early 2000 when I
first saw your name on a security related mailing list. You didn't
used to refer to my emails as "rubbish", although I guess everyone has
a right to change their mind. Something I've always tried to remember:
You really never know who is behind an email address or nickname.

But I digress. Nick, this isn't the place for such a discussion. If
you'd like to continue to attack me (or anyone else for that matter),
please do it privately. As you said yourself, it's pointless, so why
continue it to the whole list? You have my email address. I'll reply
to you off-list from now on in regards to this "discussion",
regardless where you send your side.

I do agree that your original point (about not including the person's
email address in a reply) should be sent to the full list; instead of
sent privately. It's a valid argument and should be addressed to all
those who may need that knowledge. As you can see, however, others may
have a different view. From now on I'll be sure to not include your
personal email address when replying to the list. However, for
everyone else (until asked differently), I'll continue to do what was
requested of me quite some time ago - hit "Reply All" to ensure
delivery to the intended receipent. Take care all.
