but *I* prefer to be in the recipient list if I have joined in on the discussion, it is clearly a discussion I am interested in or felt like chiming in on. I have filters... they filter... they filter differently if I am a named to or cc... discussions I am participating in by default float to my attention.
In addition, a discussion between 2 or 3 parties can take place faster if they email themselves directly as opposed to wait for a sluggish mail list to deliver the posting 6 hours later. Personally, I prefer to be cc'ed as well. If I want to unlink from a discussion, I'll the participants know. There is no absolute answer to this problem, like in much of security. It's a decision where each and everyone of us has to apply something special.... common sense. Regards, Frank
