Second, Microsoft does have a right to implement security features to protect their network from attack (even if the threat was created by their own incompetence).
Next you'll tell us it's OK for them to patch our servers without our permission? To protect the internet from ourselves? The argument wears thin, and I do not buy it. No system should upgrade or patch itself without the user/administrator's express consent. Even "you are denied access until you upgrade -- here's how to do so" would be preferable. Joshua Thomas
